Pittsburgh Passion Defeats Columbus Comets 32-0
to win the 2007
World Championship of Women's Pro Football!

The Comets defense came out strong, holding the Passion to just 6 points in the 1st Quarter, scored by #12, Torina Henley Passion tailback. However, the 2nd Quarter was a different story, as the Passion put 20 unanswered points on the board, led by QB and Offensive MVP of the game, Lisa Horton. Horton threw for an impressive 13 completions on 17 attempts, and didn't hesitate to run in a touchdown herself when the opportunity presented itself. Horton was named the Offensive MVP of the game.

The Passion defense, led by #86, Olivia Griswold, Defensive Linewoman and Defensive MVP of the game, found a way to stop Columbus each and every time the Comets knocked on the door. Passion DB Michelle Brevard, and DB Sharon Vasquez intercepted on the Comets and DB Kelly Stoner had a fumble recovery with 6 minutes left in the 4th Quarter to end Columbus' last drive. The Comets never gave up. The Comet Defense continuted to make big plays late in the game with FS Dietra Sherwin picking off Horton in the 3rd Quarter. The Comets recovered a passion fumble with 8 minutes left in the 4th Quarter but the Comets offense just could not find a way to capitalize. Cornerback Sara Miller picked off Passion back up QB, Kara Prentice with 2 minutes left in the game. But it was a case of too little, too late and the Passion ended their season with a perfect 12-0 season.
